The Lockdown Zone is a short experimental visual music video inspired by what I observed in my residential area during the Covid-19 lockdown. Different aspects such as shapes, lights, forms, colors are taken from my observation, then interpreted into the motion graphics elements of this piece, following a surrealist palette that expresses my connection with the current scenery. These animated elements are eventually accompanied by an electronic soundtrack and put together in real-time, using a real-time visual mixing technique.
By creating tailor-made motion graphic pieces, the idea is to portray a visual performance on this ‘stage’ by mixing these elements in real-time using VJ techniques and tools. The soundtrack of this piece is in electronic genre with a somewhat peculiar and fast-paced tempo and rhythm, reflecting the abnormal vibrations of the current situation.
